2009 Zacharias Distinguished Staff Awards
To:
All Faculty, Staff, and Students
Mississippi State
University
On May 8 we have the opportunity to recognize six
outstanding Mississippi State University employees at Staff
Appreciation Day. The Zacharias Distinguished Staff Awards
will be presented in the six
EEO categories of professional and support staff at MSU.
One winner will be selected from each category and will
receive a plaque of recognition along with a check for
$1,000.
Any MSU employee who works at least half-time, has been
employed a minimum of three years, and is from one of the
six EEO categories listed below is eligible to be nominated.

01-Executive, Managerial, Administrative
03-Other Professional (non-teaching)
04-Technical Paraprofessional
05-Clerical/Secretarial
06-Skilled Crafts
07-Service Maintenance
Nomination
Criteria
As an MSU employee, this person:
-
Exemplifies professionalism and dedication to MSU by
performing beyond the call of duty to improve service,
quality, and image of the department/unit;
-
Serves as a positive role model for other faculty,
staff, and/or students
-
Demonstrates outstanding accomplishments of significance
based on initiative, cooperation, and ability to perform
a job successfully
-
Demonstrates a high degree of competence and expertise
-
Must be a current MSU employee.

Works
beyond the boundaries of the job by participating in MSU
campus activities or community service projects
Nomination Process
-
Nominations will be accepted from MSU faculty, staff, and students.

Nominator must complete the Nominee Information Form (PDF Format) and have attached the required three Nomination Forms (PDF Format). These forms can be filled in at the PDF format links and printed, or you may obtain copies from the PSSAC office in Memorial Hall or at the receptionist desk in the Hunter Henry Center. These supporting forms should demonstrate how the employee meets the Nomination Criteria above.

One of the three Zacharias Distinguished Staff Nomination Forms may
be from the nominator.

The deadline for submitting nominations is April 16, 2009.
