PSSAC is advisory to the President.  There are 26 members of the council.  These members are selected from a pool of nominations solicited from the Vice Presidents.  Members serve a 3 year term beginning in July with the terms of eight members expiring each year.  The council officers include a chair, vice-chair, and secretary.  Standing and special committees will address particular issues. Officers serve one year terms and are eligible to succeed themselves in office for not more than one additional year term.  The officers and committee chairs form the Executive Board which is responsible for setting meeting agendas, decision making between general Council meetings and establishing direction for Council activities.
